July 11th is a special day for 7-Eleven because it’s their birthday (7/11—get it?). The chain of convenience stores is turning 97 years old today. It started back in 1927 as the Southland Ice Company in Dallas. From 1928 to 1946, it was called Tote’m Stores before becoming the well-known convenience store brand we know today.
7-Eleven celebrates its birthday by giving away its famous Slurpee drink as a gift to customers. That’s why they call it “Slurpee Day.”
WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR SLURPEE DAY AND WHERE CAN I GET A FREE ONE?
On Slurpee Day 2024, you can get a free small Slurpee of any flavor at participating 7-Eleven stores.
You don’t have to buy anything to get the free Slurpee.
But it’s not just 7-Eleven stores giving away free Slurpees today. Two other brands owned by 7-Eleven—Speedway and Stripes Convenience Stores—will also be offering a free small Slurpee at their participating locations.
HOW MANY FREE SLURPEES CAN I GET TODAY?
If one free Slurpee isn’t enough, you can actually get a second small Slurpee for free if you’re a member of the 7REWARDS or Speedy Rewards loyalty program. You can get the second free Slurpee at the same time as the first one, or you can wait to redeem it anytime between now and July 31st.
In celebration of Slurpee Day 2024, 7-Eleven is also introducing a special edition MTN DEW Freedom Fusion Slurpee flavor. You can choose this new flavor as your free Slurpee, or pick any other flavor you like.
